Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Ilkay Silk, who is an actress as well as a producer, director and playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father hails from Britain, while her mother is a "Turkish ex-pat from Cyprus who is now living in England." Anna's first memories include attending play rehearsals and watching her mother's working. When she was a kid, she played in commercials for a number of companies.
