Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) while Madonna has collaborated with Maluma on Medellin. In the year 2020, some Reggaeton artists were complaining about the direction of the genre towards the mainstream. In contrast, a young generation, Rauw Alejandro was determined to push forward the progression. He often included elements from different genres as well as electronic dance.
